Laboratory Tests

We provide our clients with a diverse range of tools, including hematology, immunology, biochemistry, cytology, pathology, pharmacogenetics, toxicology, microbiology, and a wide array of COVID-19 testing and imaging services. MLDC has more than 160 Laboratory Experts, phlebotomists and Client and patient Support Specialists that are available to support our clients every step of the way.

Our laboratories’ technicians are certified by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board and have relevant experience in microbiology, chemistry, immunology, radiology, oncology, pharmacology, and molecular biology.

Our laboratories maintain full ISO 15189 accreditation from Kenya Accreditation Services (KENAS). Through a quality coordinator, we ensure to maintain the ISO standard and uphold all quality Assurance programs. We have also been certified for ISO 14001: 2004 and ISO 22000: 2005.

The Laboratory is headed by a consultant Pathologist/Manager with each section supervised by a Senior Technologist and a consultant Pathologist reviewing all the results. Before commencing testing, daily internal calibrations and quality control testing are done to ensure quality reports.

Med-Laboratories has several departments, including Special Chemistry, Immunology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Histopathology, Cytopathology, and Molecular Sections. These departments are equipped with modern equipment to meet the ever evolving era of laboratory medicine. We conduct these tests comprehensively and compare them with accurately calibrated ranges.
